Due to limited availability booking online is not available with the exception of Susanne and a complimentary 10 min phone appointment to determine a fit.

Susanne R. Cassidy Duggan, M.Sc., SLP-Reg, S-LP(C), has been a licensed, practicing Speech-Language Pathologist for over 20 years, and provides bilingual English/French language services.

In 2008, Susanne recognized the need for readily accessible, naturalistic, and individualized speech-language services, which led her to launch “At Home Speech & Language Services”. She believes that a child’s learning experience must be engaging and positive, and that parent/caregiver coaching is a key component. Professional team collaboration is a priority for successful outcomes. Susanne’s certifications include Hanen early language, PROMPT, and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).

As a mobile clinical service, At Home Speech & Language Services Inc. offers travel to clients at no additional cost within the Halifax Regional Municipality. Susanne covers primarily Tantallon, Hubbards, Hammonds Plains, Clayton Park, and Bedford areas.

Michelle Hebert-Moore M.Sc., S-LP M. SAC earned her B.Sc.(Honours) degree from Mount Saint Vincent University, and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Human Communication Disorders, specializing in Speech-Language Pathology, from Dalhousie University. Michelle is a longstanding member of SAC & SHANS Professional Associations and has over 15 years experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Michelle started her S-LP career working with clients ranging from toddlers/preschoolers to adults across all areas of communication challenges, delays and disorders. Michelle has a special interest in students with complex communication challenges, augmentative and alternative communication needs, social communication challenges including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, speech and language delays/disorders, articulation deficits, etc. Michelle has education/certification in the following . Ms. Kim, MSc, SLP-Reg, SLP(C) has a 25-year career as an SLP in schools, hospitals, private practice, community, and preschool programs in Ontario before spending the last 14 years in NS schools specializing in literacy, AAC, language development, speech sound development and Autism. Ms. Kim has a diverse background before and during her SLP career: published researcher, Early Childhood Educator, public service, and teaching experience with language, literacy & English as an Additional Language. Associate Clinician

Katie is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She completed her Masters of Science in Speech and Language Pathology, with a minor in Audiology, at Dalhousie University in 2020. Since graduation, Katie has worked in various roles in pediatrics, focusing on language development, speech sound delays/disorders, fluency, and social communication skills. She has training and experience in various programs including, but not limited to, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Pivotal Response Training (PRT). Katie works specifically with School-age children and aims to create a client- and family-centered approach to service, collaborating with families to best meet their goals and needs.

Associate Clinician

Cara Rhyno M.Sc. SLP-Reg(NS) is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who has 20 years of experience working in the profession. Her practice focuses on making genuine connections with the child and their family to identify what is most important to them; to develop and strengthen skills; and to build confidence in communication. Cara strongly believes in the importance of engaging the child in the therapy process, and making it a fun and rewarding experience for them.

Cara works with preschool and school-aged children and their families to provide assessment, therapy and coaching in the areas of articulation, language development, reading & writing difficulties, augmentative and alternative communication, social skills development, and more. Cara offers in-home and virtual sessions to her clients.
